Big Union Rally In Albany On Sunday
The AFLCIO and the national teachers union and others, will be protesting outside the state capital in Albany tomorrow from Noon till two. Thousands of teachers and firefighters are expected there to protest the state pension program’s Tier 6. Unions say that those who work on the Tier 6 plan have to pay more into their pensions and cannot retire at age 55 like others do, but they say, the Tier 6 employees have to work until they’re 63 years old.
