Palmesano: The Albany Dems Want To End Natural Gas Use

Corning Republican Assemblyman Phil Palmesano says Albany Democrats want to force New York State residents to stop using natural gas, by continuing to keep the subsidies going for electric houses hookups and cancelling the subsidies for natural gas hookups.  Palmesano says the Dems have a bill called the 100 Foot Rule, which eliminates natural gas subsidies.  "(In the legislation, the state lawmakers) decided to keep the subsidies for electrification hookups, but not for natural gas hookups," Palmesano said.  "This is all part of their plan to make the natural gas system, more difficult to use and make it more expensive," the assemblyman tells WVIN News.  Supporters of home electrification in New York maintain that it will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.
