A Lot About Governor Hochul In The News These Days
There’s three big issues at the moment, involving Governor Kathy Hochul. One is – that the governor is criticizing the ICE Agents who did a raid at a factory in Cato, New York. Spectrum quotes the governor as saying she is fed up with Immigration, Customs Enforcement and Hochul says Ice Agents were quote, “unlawfully present” during their recent raid there. Two – the Democrat governor is being criticized by her GOP opponent, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. Stefanik says the governor won’t lower U.S. Flags in honor of Charlie Kirk. President Trump had ordered that Flags be lowered in all states for Kirk. Governor Hochul reportedly won’t do that except on the day of the funeral, which is scheduled for this coming Sunday. The third big issue involving the governor, is that Hochul recently endorsed Democrat Socialist Zohran Mamdani in the New York City’s mayors race. The governor says she supports Mamdani because he’s opposed to Trump policies about making cuts to Medicaid. Elise Stefanik says, this is Hochul’s way of appeasing the far left.
