Today Is The 24th Anniversary Of The Sept 11 Attacks

From The NY Post: Senator Chuck Schumer:  “I was in Washington. I was in the Senate gym,” he recalled, when images of the twin towers engulfed in flames flooded the television screens.  “No one could imagine the depravity of Al- Qaeda and then the second plane hit,” he said. “I thought this must be World War III.”

From Senator Gillibrand: “Twenty-four years after the darkest day in our nation’s history, we must honor our promise to never forget,” said Senator Gillibrand. “9/11 survivors and the first responders who put their lives on the line to come to our nation’s aid deserve our support as they battle horrific health conditions borne from the toxins ingested in the days and weeks after the towers fell. The World Trade Center Health Program is a lifeline for these heroes. It is our responsibility as members of Congress to fully fund this program so that no survivor has to worry about losing care. We owe our 9/11 heroes a tremendous debt, and it is past time that we get this done.”

Statements From Elected Officials About The Assassination Of Conservative Commentator Charlie Kirk,In Utah

From Congressman Nick Langworthy:  “Charlie Kirk was murdered for daring to speak the truth and defend freedom. He was a husband, a father, a follower of Jesus Christ, and a fearless American patriot.  He fought relentlessly for a stronger America and never bowed to the forces of censorship or intimidation. His pride in our nation and his unwavering stand for free speech will never be forgotten.  The extreme Left chose today not to fight a war of ideas — but to indulge their derangement through cold-blooded murder, seeking to silence his voice forever.  Let me be clear: Charlie’s voice will never be silenced. His cause will only grow stronger, his fight will live on, and the movement he helped inspire will rise higher than ever.
May God bless his beautiful family in this time of immense tragedy and loss.  Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.”

From Congresswoman Claudia Tenney:  "I am heartbroken by the tragic death of Charlie Kirk. My prayers are with his wife, Erika, and their children as they walk through this unimaginable loss. Charlie dedicated his life to awakening young Americans to love their country and defend its values. He inspired countless students and future leaders to stand and fight for America. This horrific act has stolen a husband, a father, and a courageous voice for truth. Today, we grieve deeply. May God bring comfort to Erika, their children, and all who loved him."

From Senator Kirsten Gillibrand:  "This is horrifying news. Political violence has no place in our country, and I'm praying for the Kirk family."

From Senator Chuck Schumer:  "Political violence has no place in America.  This shooting is horrifying."
