Campbell Savona's Elementary Open House

Campbell-Savona Central is having an “Elementary Open House” on October 1.  It starts with a flu shot clinic at 3:30pm that day.  There will be a book fair in the small gym at 5:30pm.  There will be a community fair in the Big Gym at 5:30 pm as well.   Again, the Elementary Open House at Campbell Savona will be on October 1. 

 

Library Docu To Be Seen Wednesday Sept 10 In Hornell

The Southern Tier Library System put out a statement reminding people in the region that there is a free screening of a documentary about libraries.  That will be at the Hornell Spotlight Theater tomorrow night at 5:00pm.  The Spotlight Theater is on Main Street in Hornell.

 

Congrats To An Alfred State SUNY Police Officer

Alfred State College Police Officer Joseph Histed just graduated from the FBI Academy in Virginia.  Histed was one of over 250 graduates of the academy.   Officials say that graduates can become FBI agents but most of them go back to the law enforcement agency they were working for.  As for Officer Histed, “I have no intentions of leaving Alfred State,” he tells WVIN News.

 

Corning Community College Has A Blood Drive Today

There is a blood drive today at Corning Community College, that’s from 8:30am till 2:30pm in the Triangle Lounge at the college.

 

Bills QB Josh Allen: Have Some Faith

Fox News and People Magazine are both reporting that Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen has teased Bills fans about leaving the game early on Sunday night.  “I think some people left the stadium, we’ll be okay, that’s fine.  But have some faith next time,” Allen said.  The Bills are being praised for their amazing comeback Sunday night when they beat Baltimore 41-40.

 

Stefanik: Hochul Will Go Along With Mayor Mamdani

GOP Congresswoman Elise Stefanik says if Democrat Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani gets elected as New York City Mayor, Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul will fall in line with what Mamdani wants, because Stefanik says, Hochul always does that for other New York City Dems anyways.

 

Sen Schumer Prevents An ROTC Program From Ending
Democrat U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer says, he helped stop the U.S. Army from shutting down the R.O.T.C. program at Clarkson University.  The senator says he appreciates the Army for taking his concerns seriously and he describes the R.O.T.C. program at Clarkson University, as “superb".
