Bath Police Chief Talks Bail Reform With Rep. Langworthy

Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy talked the other day with Bath Village Police Chief Don Lewis about the cashless bail situation. And Langworthy says he’s urging Congressional leadership to codify President Trump’s Executive Order and restore accountability, safety, and common sense.

 

A Steuben County Historical Society Tour Of Hornell

A tour of the historic buildings in Hornell: that will be happening Friday September 12th starting at 4pm.  In Hornell, the Episcopal Church was built in 1860, the Public Library was built in 1911, the Post Office in 1916.  So there will be a lot to see.  The tour starts Friday September 12th at 4pm at 64 Genesee Street in front of the library in Hornell.

 

Another Boater Safety Class Is Coming Up This Month

Sheriff Jim Allard says The Steuben County Sheriff's Office Navigation Division will host a FREE one-day New York State Boaters Safety Course on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The class will be held from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Steuben County Sheriff's Office on Rumsey Street Extension in  Bath. You must be at least 10 years old to attend and must pass a written test at the end of the class.

 

Palmesano's Energy Plan Tour Of Upstate Cities

Corning Republican Assemblyman Phil Palmesano is going around Buffalo and Rochester this week, talking about the state’s energy policies and about why he thinks the governor’s plans will make utility bills go way up.

 

The Governor Is Cracking Down On Illegal Vape Sales

Governor Kathy Hochul says she’s gotten a dozen people who work in the vaping industry arrested for breaking laws by selling vaping products to the youth.   The governor says if these suspects sell the e-cigarettes and similar products after the first offense, it’ll be a class E felony.
