Road Work Going On - On I-86 In Bath And Other Towns

There's paving work from now until 6pm this evening on I86.    That means there is single lane traffic on 86 from the Bath exit to the Prattsburgh exit.  Also the exit ramps on I86 in Bath, Hammondsport and Prattsburgh are closed.   The Kanona Rest Stop is also closed today and tomorrow.  As for the paving work that's expected to last all month long.

 

First Day Of School For Three Local School Systems

Today is the first day of school for Bath,  Campbell Savona and Avoca.   Governor Kathy Hochul said yesterday that she wants parents to take a look at the cell phone rules for the new school year.

Upcoming Benefit For The Savona Fire Chief And Family

Theres going to be a benefit in October 4th for the Savona fire chief who suffered a house fire back on April 11th.  The benefit will be on Roby road in Savona.   We will report more on this as we get closer to the event.  

 

Anger Management Classes At The County Jail In Bath

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department says 33 inmates recently took anger management classes which were offered by Catholic Charities.  Officials say there were seven who graduated from the class.
