Bath NY Forward Meeting At 5:00 This Evening

 

Bath Bocce Ball Court Update

Bath Mayor Michael Sweet says the work on the Bocce Ball Court should be finished by next week.  "We're building a Bocce Ball Court, over at the Dog Park off of Haverling Street," Sweet told Dave Taylor Smith recently. "We always said that the example of the Bocce Ball Court we wanted was at Point Of The Bluff.  Ours is going to turn out to be even better than that.  The Street Department has done this all in-house and it's going to be stunning.  The work may be completed by the end of next week," Sweet said.  

 

Flags Are At Half-Staff Today In Honor of An NYC 9-11 Trooper

Governor Kathy Hochul wants flags at half staff today in honor of the most recent victim of a 9-11 related illness: State Police Sgt. Frederick Scheidt.  The sgt. worked inside the World Trade Center on September 11th 2001.  From the Governor:  “Sergeant Scheidt served New York with great distinction through challenges and times of peril, and today we send our deepest condolences to his loved ones as we honor his life and legacy.”

 

Tenney's 2A Protection Plan For Gun Owners

Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney today announced her 2025 Second Amendment Protection Plan, reaffirming her commitment to defend the constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners.  Tenney says her plan is combating New York’s Radical Anti-Second Amendment Agenda, is Protecting Privacy and Due Process for Gun Owners, and is Ensuring Access for Law-Abiding Citizens.

 

Dormann Library Gets Trained In CPR Last Week

The Dormann Library is thanking Laurie Mault for providing their staff with CPR training and to Deputy Warriner for teaching them emergency response skills last week.  The library says the expertise and knowledge from Mault and Warriner helps the library be better prepared to keep our community safe.

 

Fire House Subs Are Back Next Week Here In Bath

Coming up August 25th through August 30th, they’ll be selling Fire House subs at the Bath Volunteer Fire Department.  It’s an annual event they do every year to raise money for the Bath Fire Department.

 

Hands On A Truck Is Slated For September 13 In Bath

On September 13, from Noon-3pm, a t the county fairgrounds in Bath.  it’s the Hands On A Truck event.  At Hands on a Truck, kids will see first hand and up close – ambulances, fire trucks, tractors and other kinds of vehicles.  If you’d like to bring a vehicle to this event, email steuben chamber at gmail dot com.
