Summer Classes In Syracuse For County A.D.A.'s
A number of Steuben County Assistant District Attorneys are attending summer courses at the Syracuse Law School. According to Steuben County D.A. Brooks Baker, this is a program put on by the Distict Attorneys Association Of The State Of New York's (DAASNY) Prosecutors Training Institute. Baker tells WVIN News that the institute was created by DAASNY to provide support and continuing education for prosecutors across New York State. One interesting part of this program is, it’s given for free. “DAASNY pays for this, so it’s no cost to the taxpayers,” Baker explained. “Those who attend will learn about things like trial tactics and changes in the law, and different areas of new issues in criminal law,” Baker stated.
