Primary Voting Day Has Arrived
It’s Tuesday June 24th, Republican Primary Day and the polls are open. Voting started at 6am and goes till 9pm tonight. Towns having primaries are: Bath, Caton, Erwin, Hornby, Campbell, Cohocton, the Town of Corning, Prattsburgh, Rathbone, Thurston, Troupsburg, Tuscarora, Wheeler and Canisteo. Other areas in Steuben County are not having primaries today.

The Bath Fire Dept Is Inviting Area Residents To Cool Off
FROM THE BATH VOL FIRE DEPT: We encourage area residents to take advantage of a little relief from the heat by attending the BFD Mass Decon Drill this evening at 7pm. You can cool down at the Fire Station, bring your kids for some water fun. You might also want to bring a towel.

Big News For Hornell Alstom Workers
Governor Kathy Hochul says that the MTA has approved the purchase of M-9A Passenger Railcars. The governor says, the Hornell Alstom facility will be building 316 M-9A cars — 160 cars will be allocated to the Long Island Rail Road’s fleet and 156 for Metro-North Railroad. No word yet on how many new jobs or how much money will come from this deal.

Steuben County Undersheriff John McNelis says, the county is working on an agreement with ICE – to turn over illegal immigrants, in case one is arrested and ends up in the Steuben County Jail.
Homeless Man Is Accused Of Allegedly Squatting In Bath
Bath Village Police report that a 40 year old homeless man was charged for allegedly squatting inside a condemned home on East William Street. The homeless man was charged with 2nd degree trespass.
