A New Event Was Held At The County Fairgrounds In Bath
The first annual Jackpot Livestock show was held at the Steuben County Fairgrounds over the weekend. Event organizer Nick Pelham said, hundreds of farmers took part and that they came from as far away as Ohio.
Primary Day Is Tomorrow In Bath
The Republican Primary Day is tomorrow. Voting hours Tuesday are 6 am to 9 pm for all districts holding a primary. Those towns having primaries are: Bath, Caton, Erwin, Hornby, Campbell, Cohocton, Corning, Prattsburgh, Rathbone, Thurston, Troupsburg, Tuscarora, Wheeler and Canisteo.
Two Hornell Residents Survive Near-Fatal O.D.'s
In Hornell, there were two near fatal overdoses on Friday. Hornell Police used Narcan, to save the two people. Hornell Police Captain Mike Sexsmith says, a 40 year old man. who has no permanent address, was charged afterwards, with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Reaction To The Strikes On Iranian Nuclear SItes
Regarding the Bunker Buster bombings, of the Iranian nuclear sites this past Saturday night, Republican House members Nick Langworthy and Claudia Tenney both issued statements in support of the strikes ordered by President Trump. Democrats Schumer and Gillibrand both say, while they are strong supporters of Israel, that the president did not get congressional approval for the strikes.
