Tractor Trailer Rollover Accident On 86 Yesterday

FROM NYSP:  On June 3, 2025, at approximately 10:47 a.m., State Police were called to I-86 westbound in the village of Savona for a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer.   A preliminary investigation determined that a tractor trailer, driven by a 76 year old male from Belleville, NJ, was traveling on I-86 westbound in the village of Savona when his trailer began to fishtail.  During the investigation, it was determined that he lost control of the trailer causing it to roll over and strike an embankment.   The tractor trailer driver did not have any injuries bur was evaluated by Bath Volunteer Ambulance at the scene.

 

Lake Salubria Sewer District Update

The Bath Town Clerk’s Office says, the bids will be opened and read on June 10th for the Lake Salubria Sewer district 8 project.  The bidding process began on April 29^th and lasted for several weeks.

The Steuben County Board of Elections announces that the June Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. This year, only Republican Primary Elections will take place, and only registered Republican voters in designated towns are eligible to vote.

WSJ Editorial: Langworthy Is Right About Scaffold Law

The Wall Street Journal has an editorial out that says GOP Congressman Nick Langworthy’s legislation to get rid of the New York State Scaffold Law, would help the state greatly.  The editorial, by the Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Board, says Langworthy’s Scaffold Law, would reduce the cost of federally funded construction projects.

Senator Chuck Schumer: I Agree With Elon Musk

Democrat US Senator Chuck Schumer says the one Big Beautiful Bill will take away a lot of Americans Medicaid and Obamacare.  In a noon press conference held on Tuesday, Schumer spoke of how he agrees with Elon Musk, that the One Big Beautiful Bill will raise the national debt.
