Avoca Man Pleads Guilty 

In Steuben County Court yesterday, Avoca resident Terry Long Jr. entered a guilty plea.  He was accused of shooting and injuring his wife in December of 2023 in Avoca.  She was reportedly badly injured.  Long will be sentenced on April 14 at 9:30am.

 

The Center For Youth Services Has Opened Up In Bath

There is a new office in Bath, inside the Community Services Building at 115 Liberty Street in Bath.  It’s called The Center For Youth Services and they’re going to be having numerous workshops, from Tuesday February 19 through Thursday February 20. 

- MASH Camp for Healthcare Career Exploration – WNY Rural Area Health Education Center- Tuesday, February 18^th 9:00 A.M. -12:00 P.M.

- Teen Mental Health First Aid – Institute for Human Services (IHS) – Wednesday, February 19^th 11:30A.M.  – 4:00 P.M.

- “Little Red” Video and Discussion on Youth/Human Trafficking – Child Advocacy Center Thursday, February 20^th 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M.

- Finding Your Career Path – CSS Workforce NY – Friday, February 21^st 2:30P.M. TO 4:00P.M.

 

In addition to these educational workshops, the Youth Bureau will be hosting an open house every day from Tuesday, February 18 through Friday, February 21, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. During the open house hours, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new facility, learn about available resources, and meet with representatives from partner organizations.

 

Roast Beef Dinner Is Coming Up On Sat Feb 8 In Kanona

The Kanona Volunteer Fire Department is having a drive through roast beef dinner this Saturday.   The cost of the roast beef dinner, $12.00

 

Family Day At The Glenn Curtiss Museum

A week from this Saturday on February 15, it’ll be family day at the Glenn Curtis Museum in Hammondsport.  That will be from noon until 3pm on Saturday on the 15^th at the Glenn Curtis Museum.

 

Campbell Volunteer Fire Dept's All You Can Eat Dinner

The Campbell Volunteer Fire Department will be having an all you can eat spaghetti dinner on February 22 – 4pm till 6:30pm that day.  that will be at the Campbell Fire Department on Route 415 in Campbell.
