Tenney Is Working To Ban Cuomo's Gun Control Law

Gun owners will be interested in this one.  Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney is working to pass a law to undo the Cuomo era gun control law, the Safe Act.  Tenney’s legislation, the Second Amendment Gauruntee Act, would ensure that states cannot ban any rifle or shotgun that is permitted under federal law.

 

Gillibrand: What Happened In CA Cannot Happen In NYS

Democrat US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is calling for state and federal cooperation to prevent the kind of out of control fires they have had in California, from happening here in New York State.  Gillibrand says, she’s committed delivering all the resources necessary to Homeland Security and Emergency Services, so those agencies can assist the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to support firefighters around the state.

 

Reminder About The Political Petition Class In Bath

Coming up on Saturday February 1, the Steuben County Board of Elections will be putting on a training seminar, on how to run for office, fill out politicial petitions and everything related to this topic.  Steuben County Election Commissioner Colleen Haruski says, at this seminar, they’ll be talking about caucuses, and how caucuses work.  Haruski says, they’re doing this seminar so that everyone is on the same page and so that those who are running for local office, know the rules of how to do so.  Again, this event will be Saturday, February 1st at 9am at the County Annex Building, 20 East Morris Street  in Bath.

 

Work Has Begun At The Dana Lyons School In Bath
Officials from Pike Construction Services have begun renovation of the Dana Lyon School building in Bath.  This project will revitalize the structure into a 49-unit apartment building, with on-site laundry, an exercise room, a community room, a playground, and outdoor greenspace.  They say that commercial space will also be available for a future tenant there at the Dana Lyons School location.

 

Interesting Event Coming Up At Glenn Curtiss Museum

A representative from the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport says, that this Friday, January 17, from 10am to 3pm, they’re going to have three engineers who designed the CV2 Cargo Air Vehicles, and they’ll be assembling a drone at the museum that day too.  Again, that will be Friday, January 17th from 10am to 3pm at the Glenn Curtis Museum in Hammondsport.
