Giglio Slams The Green New Deal On His Way Out
GOP Assemblyman Joe Giglio, says the electric school bus transition and other green new deal items, will cost New York State taxpayers $20 billion dollars.  Giglio talked about this, in his final statement as a member of the assembly.  Giglio did not seek re-election and Republican Joe Sempolinski  will be taking his place in the state legislature. 

 

Elmira Police:  A Lot Of Gunfire On Wednesday Morning

Elmira Police report that yesterday in the 4am hour on West 3^rd Street, numerous gunshots were fired off.  Police there say, several cars and two residences were hit with bullets.  No injuries were reported and the investigation continues.

 

Schumer And Langworthy: Prayers With New Orleans

On the car attack in New Orleans, two of New York State's elected officials issued these statements: 

From Congressman Nick Langworthy:  My prayers are with the victims, their families, and the brave police officers responding to the horrific act of terrorism in New Orleans. We must unearth every detail of this deadly attack and the American people deserve full transparency as to how and why it occurred. Under President Trump and Republicans the return of safety of American citizens is our top priority.  

From Senator Chuck Schumer; I’m praying for those who were killed, those who were injured, their families, and all of New Orleans. This attack was an unconscionable act of terrorism. We must do more to fight terrorism at home and abroad.  I’m thankful for all the first responders who leapt to action and saved lives.
