Hammondsport Fire Deparment Undergoes Recent Training For Car Accidents With Trapped Victims 

The Hammondsport Fire Department has been doing training recently on helping people who are trapped inside of vehicles, be extricated.   From Hammondsport Fire Dept: Training on extrication, cribbing, using air tools, and stabilization. Thanks to All Season tires on 415 in Bath for donating the vehicles.

Three Races In Steuben County, Don't Have A Candidate

Steuben County Election Commissioner Vicky Olin tells WVIN News that in Addison there is a town board seat that has no one on the ballot to vote for.  So it will have to be a write-in for anyone to win.  The election commissioner also says over in Greenwood and in Fremont, there are open Town Justice seats and if anyone wins those races in Greenwood and Fremont, it will have be as write-ins.     

 

State Props Usually Get Ignored...But Not This One

Prop 1 keeps getting a lot of attention.  The Catholic Archdiocese of New York has come out against Prop 1.  The Archdiocese says Prop 1 enshrines abortion in New York State, allows children to make life changing medical decisions and loosens age appropriate restrictions. 

Also, Prop 1 is being endorsed by the New York Civil Liberties Union.  The New York Civil Liberties Union says opponents of Prop 1 are attempting to roll back New Yorkers rights and they say Prop 1 is being attacked by anti abortion extremists.
