Update On Injured Chemung County Investigator 

Chemung County Investigator Mike Theetge suffered serious head trauma while trying to arrest two suspects from Ithaca, in Big Flats, in late March of this year.   There is going to be a benefit to raise money for Theetge’s medical expenses.  That will be on Saturday, November 30 at 5pm at the Elks Lodge in Horseheads. 

 

Reminder: Charters Of Freedom Event Is On Friday

The dedication ceremony for the Charters of Freedom, will be held Friday at 1pm in Pultneney Park in Bath.  The public is invited to attend.

 

Canisteo To Have A Wind Project 

Officials with wind company Invenergy are now saying that they will be going forward with a wind project there.  Construction will start in Canisteo in 2025 and be complete by 2027.  Invenergy is planning on having 56 wind turbines in Canisteo, each wind turbine would be a maximum of 591 feet high and they will have the generating capacity of 250 megawatts.

 

Corning Community Prez - Influencing US Education 

Corning Community College President Dr William Mullaney has been selected to take part in a JP Morgan Chase educational forum, called the Aspen President’s Fellowship.  Mullaney will be working with 25 other college leaders to work on educational agendas.
