A Covid Memorial Event Is Slated For Thursday in Bath

There is a Covid Memorial event scheduled for this Thursday in Bath at the Civil Defense Building at 1pm.  Those who died of the Covid here in Steuben County, will be memorialized.  Numerous officials will be there, including hospital staff members, Steuben County Department heads, county lawmakers and school superintendents.  This is open to the public.  Again, that’s at 1:00pm this Thursday, October 17.

 

Early Voting Takes The Stress Off : No Waiting In Lines

Steuben County Election Commissioner Colleen Haruski says today, that the county board of elections is encouraging early voting this year.  The election commissioner says, that’s because it takes the stress off of voters on election day, so they don’t have to hurry up and wait (meaning rush around to get to the voting location and then wait in line) to get their voting done.  Early voting locations are: in Bath, at the County Annex Building on 20 East Morris Street…the Community Arts Center on Broadway in Hornell, and in Corning at the library, inside the Nassar Civic Center Plaza.

 

The Search Continues - In The Canisteo Larceny Cases 

The search by Canisteo Police and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department continues, for the White Mercury Mountaineer with a black trailer attached to it.  Officials say this vehicle is tied to several larcenies in Canisteo.  If you know anything about this, please contact either Canisteo Police (607 698 4211) or the Steuben County Sheriff’s department (607 -622-3901).  

 

Bath Police Chief Is Going To Be Doing A Halloween Walk 

Bath Police Chief Colin Taft will be doing a fun, Halloween type tour around downtown Bath, on Saturday October 19t, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.  A total of 50 tickets are going to be sold and it’s first come first served.  Tickets are $10.00 each and are available at the Bath Village Police Department.  Bath Police say, more information will be coming out this week about this event.
