Eric Rose: More August Flood Issues, Have Been Brought To Our Attention And We Are Addressing These Repairs
Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose says, as far as August flood damage goes, a number of lesser known damaged areas in places around the county, have been brought to his attention – and Rose says, the county public works commission is addressing these problems. "The folks in the field are still working at it," Rose said this morning. "We're moving ahead on a lot of stuff, getting a lot cleared out, on some projects that have been brought in, which were flood related, which we were not quite aware of, at a smaller level, and we're trying to brush that stuff up as well," Rose said today, at the Steuben County Public Works Committee.
Last Nght In Steuben County - We Had Severe Thunderstorms, Heavy Winds And Hail Too
The National Weather Service announced last night, that the Steuben County Town of Hartsville got 50 mile an hour wind gusts and heavy hail. We checked in with Steuben County Emergency Services Director Tim Marshall, who said this morning, that so far there have been no reports yet of major damage from last night’s hail in Hartsville or anywhere else in the county.

Gov Extends Deadline For Individual Homeowner Repair $
Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul has extended the deadline for getting in applications to get funding for flood damage, for Steuben County homeowners, because of the August flash flooding. The deadline for storm damage applications, is now November 8. This move comes after requests from Republicans, Senator Tom O’Mara and Assemblyman Joe Giglio and Phil Palmesano and Assemblywoman Marjorie Burns.
Borrello Slams The Suspects Accused Of Punching Paterson
GOP State Senator Borrello put out a statement, condemning the actions of five teenagers in New York City, who are accused of committing gang assault against former Governor David Paterson and his stepson on Friday night on a sidewalk on New York City’s East side. "Disgusting to see this," Borrello said on his Twitter/X page yesterday.
