The Village Of Bath Getting A Grant From T Mobile
The Village of Bath is getting a grant from T Mobile. It’s a grant for improvements at Pulteney Park. Mayor Michael Sweet says, Bath Village Deputy Mayor Karen Causer worked on getting this grant for Bath. "It's up to $50,000 in grant money," Deputy Mayor Causer tells WVIN. "It's going to go towards replacing the electric infrastructure and change and update the lighting at Pulteney Park. This is so we can have an updated Events Space at the park. It's for things like Music In The Park, Trunk Or Treat, Spirit of Christmas, and other community members use it as well," said Deputy Mayor Causer.
BEGWS Says Visits Will Only Be On Two Streets In Bath
Making a correction on a story we reported, this morning, on the radio. We reported that Bath Electric Gas and Water will be phoning or visiting homes, about water meters. Bath Electric Gas and Water says it's the Larson Design Group which will be either calling or stopping by about meters and this will only be happening on two streets: Gansevort and Pine Streets. (Not the entire village, as we reported in previous radio newscasts.) This will be happening starting next Monday until October 4.
Oktoberfest In Hammondsport Is On October 6
Coming up on October 6, the Village of Hammondsport will be having Octoberfest from 1pm to 5pm at the fireman’s pavillion. There will be drinks, food and games. It’s being put on by the Hammondsport Chamber of Commerce.
Training Session Exercise Held In Bath On Wednesday
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard says an Interagency Training Exercise was held at the Steuben County Public Safety Building yesterday. In addition to the Steuben County Sheriff's Office, present were officials from the Chemung County Sheriff's Office, the state department of Correction’s K-9 Unit, the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office, and the Yates County Sheriff’s Department.
Apparent Murder/Suicide Over In Penn Yan
The Finger Lakes Daily News dot com reports that there was an apparent murder/suicide in Penn Yan. Both bodies were taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiners Office. The investigation continues. Click here for full story.
