Steuben County Website To Report Illegal Cannabis Stores

Recently, Wvin reported that Steuben County Manager Jack Wheeler had announced that the county now has a website, to inform officials about cannabis being sold illegally at stores and businesses in Steuben County.

Alfred State Students Work In Local Flood Damaged Areas 

Alfred State Spokesperson Paul Welker says Alfred senior heavy equipment students have been working in Jasper and other areas of Steuben County lately, to help out in storm damaged areas.   The group has been rebuilding a creek that runs through a farm in Jasper and working with the Jasper Troupsburg School District to build a new softball field in a different area from their current athletic complex to minimize the chance of future flooding.  “Once the flood hit, it brought back a lot of memories,” said Alfred State Professor/Steuben County native, Brian Adams. “At this very spot three years ago, my seniors helped the Steuben County Soil and Water division clean out this creek. On the fourth day of class this semester, we packed up and set up. We have been busy.”  

 

Elected Officials Attending First Responder Event Today

On this Patriots Day, Congressman Nick Langworthy, State Senator Tom O’Mara and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano are going to be at the First Responders Honor Park in Gang Mills, honoring First Responders in the region.  

 

Paving Is Happening This Week Over In Addison

Paving is going on this week in Addison, on Nichols Road, Grove Street, Prospect Street, and South Street.  That's according to Addison Mayor Tim Mosher.
