Update: Town Of Woodhull Roads Are Now Open

The Town of Woodhull was heavily damaged on Friday August 9.  Officials say that in Woodhull, every road including County Route 129 is now open.  County Route 129 had a huge gaping hole in it, which looked more like a ditch, after the flash flooding 25 days ago.   Also, there’s a Moe-Town music benefit this Saturday, September 6,  in Addison, to raise money for local flood victims, including, we’re told, the owners of the downtown businesses in Woodhull.  Tickets are $10.00 per person.

Governor To Hold A Green Energy Summit Tomorrow

Governor Kathy Hochul is having a clean energy event, Wednesday and Thursday in the City of Syracuse.  “As we continue to bring new manufacturing and economic opportunities to New York, we’re ensuring these businesses are aligned with our vision of a clean and renewable economy,” Governor Hochul said. “Supporting our historic investments in renewable energy, this summit will bring together the brightest minds to explore how we can accelerate our progress, what potential roles next generation technologies can play in stimulating economic growth and jobs throughout our state, and how New York’s innovation ecosystem can support these future industries.”  Republican State Senator Tom O’Mara is skeptical about the green energy summit.  O’Mara says that Governor Kathy Hochul should use the event to announce that she is dropping the state’s climate action council plans for a state version of a green new deal.
