County Route 14 To Be Opened By Tomorrow Night

Steuben County Manager Jack Wheeler says today that County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose says, County Route 14 in Bath will be opened by Friday night. 

 

Prattsburgh Road Update

In Prattsburgh, we hear that all roads are open and passable, though Prattsburgh highway crews continue their work and are now focused on the Prattsburgh road’s shoulders and headwalls of pipes, and the ditches.

 

CERT And SWAT And Local Fire Dept's Training Sessions

Sheriff Jim Allard says, the Steuben County Sheriff's Office CERT and SWAT teams along with the Bath VA Fire Department, Savona Fire Department, and The Bath Volunteer Fire Department did Rescue Technicians joint training this month.  The training was conducted by the State Fire Instructors.  

 

Important Info for Parents at Dana Lyon Middle School:

From The Bath School District: 

 

Office Closure: The Dana Lyon Middle School Office is currently closed for renovations.

School Hours: Doors open at 7:20 AM.

Bus Riders: Students who ride the bus will be dropped off in the front circle. They should enter the school through the Haverling High School Entrance.

Parent Drop-Off: Parents dropping off students should use the back parking lot near the district office.

Walkers: Students walking to school may enter through either the back parking lot near the district office or the Haverling High School Entrance.

Homeroom Arrival: All students need to be in their homerooms by 7:35 AM.

Release Times:

4th and 5th-grade students will be released at 2:10 PM.

6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students will be released at 2:13 PM.

Midday Pick-Up: If you need to pick up your child during the day, please enter through the Haverling High School Entrance.

 

Steuben County Public Health: State Rules On Vaxxing

From Steuben County Public Health:

Children attending day care and pre-K through 12thgrade in New York State must receive all required doses of vaccines on the recommended schedule in order to attend or remain in school. This is true unless they have a valid medical exemption to immunization. This includes all public, private, and religious schools.

In order to attend or remain in school or day care, children who are unvaccinated or overdue must receive at least the first dose of all required vaccines within the first 14 days.
