Campbell-Savona State Comptroller Audit Results

State Comptroller Tom Dinapoli says, Campbell Savona Central won’t be getting $29,939 dollars in state aid, reportedly because the school did not file certain claims on time.  The comptroller also says, that Campbell-Savona School District officials agreed with the state comptroller’s recommendations and they say that the school will take corrective action.   

 

Public Hearing On Monday In Bath About Cannabis

There’s a public hearing coming up 10am Monday, at the county annex building at 20 East Morris Street in Bath.  This will be about the new Steuben County cannabis law.  "Anyone who wishes to speak on that matter, will be given time to voice their views," said Steuben County Legislative Chair Kelly Fitzpatrick (R, Bath) this morning.   "The new law will assist us in shutting down these stores that are selling marijuana and marijuana products illegally."  

 

Steuben Prevention Coaltion To Hold A Town Hall

Sheriff Jim Allard will be one of the speakers, at the Steuben Prevention Coalition’s Community Town Hall.  That will be on September 14th at 9:00am at the Spotlight Theater on Main Street in Hornell.  

 

Former Neighboring County Sheriff Has Passed Away

Former Chemung County Sheriff Patrick Patterson has died.  Patrick Patterson was sheriff of Chemung County from 1983 to 1984.  In 1984, he was hired by the FBI as an agent.  Patterson was with the FBI until he retired in 2005.
