Flags To Be At Half Tomorrow Across The State
Governor Kathy Hochul wants flags on all state buildings to be at half-staff from sunrise to sunset tomorrow, in honor of New York Army National Guard Staff Sergeant Michael S. Stone. Staff Sgt. Stone died, while on a training mission in Alaska recently. He was from Liverpool, New York.
Update On State Funding For Ira Davenport Hospital
The state health department says, Ira Davenport Hospital should be receiving a million dollars a year, for two years, from the state, because of Governor Kathy Hochul’s funding plans for hospitals. Officials say, these projects train certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, physician assistants, community health workers, home health aides, and other direct care professionals.
A Community Baby Shower To Be Held In Bath
There’s going to be a Community Baby Shower in Bath on Wednesday August 7th. That will be from 10am-1pm in Pulteney Square in Bath, and all new and expecting parents are welcome to this event.

The Hornell Steamers Season Has Come To An End
The Hornell Steamers summer collegiate baseball team, lost to the Dansville Gliders in the Southwestern Division Series this week. Dansville beat Hornell in two out of the three games in the series.
The final scores were:
Game one, Hornell 9 Dansville 1
Game Two Dansville 5 Hornell 3
Game Three Dansville 14 Hornell 9
Hornell finishes the season 30-9-1.
