Steuben Co Board Of Elections: Checking Your Voter Info 

From The Steuben County Board of Elections:

Don’t wait until election day to find out you didn’t update your information with the board of election.  Check your voter registration with a simply Voter Look Up

Voter can see their party affiliation,  where they vote, early voting information, etc.   If the search results are not found, call the County Board of Election  607-664-2260, so they can look into it for you.

 

Some Local Schools Cell Phone Policies 

Governor Kathy Hochul is working on a statewide policy about students use of cell phones.  Wvin Radio News asked local schools about their rules on cell phones and here’s what we found out.  In the Bath School District, cell phones are allowed at the high school but cell phones are not allowed at the middle or primary school in Bath.  The Hammondsport Central policy is no phones in instructional spaces. Hammondsport students keep them in their lockers or put them on the teacher's desk when they enter a classroom, but are allowed to use cell phones in places like the cafeteria and the hallways. 

 

Airport Funding For Elmira Corning Regional Airport

GOP Congressman Nick Langworthy says the Elmira Corning Regional Airport will be getting a grant for just under half a million dollars. Langworthy says that the grant will be used for runway paving. 

 

Democrats Candidate To Make An Appearance In Hornell

Steuben County Democrat Chair Shawn Hogan tells WVIN Radio News that Democrat Congressional candidate Tom Carle, will be in Hornell at the Steuben County Democrats Picnic on Saturday, August 24.  That will be at  Veterans Memorial Park at James Street.
