It Was On This Day, In 2018, In The Town of Erwin...
Today is the anniversary of the death of State Trooper Nick Clark.  Clark was a graduate of Canisteo-Greenwood and Alfred University who was responding, as a state police officer in 2018, to a call about a suicidal male in the Town of Erwin, who shot Trooper Clark.

 

State Trooper Nick Clark was 29 at the time of his death.  

 

Rep. Nick Langworthy's Vietnam Era Veterans Event

Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy held a Vietnam era veterans event today.  That was at Horseheads High School’s auditorium at 2:00pm.  Veterans came in from all over Chemung, Steuben, Schuyler and possibly other counties too.  Langworthy says you just need to have been in any branch of the US military, in active duty, between November 1st 1955 to May 15, 1975.

Senator Chuck Schumer And Finger Lakes Wineries

Recently US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was Ontario County, announcing that he’s gotten $68.9 million dollars to build a state of the art, new, national grape improvement center in Geneva.  Schumer says, this will establish the Finger Lakes Region as the center of innovation for the wine industry. 

 

Firehouse Subs Are Back Again This Summer

The Bath Volunteer Fire Department is selling Firehouse subs this week.  That’s happening at the Bath Volunteer fire station.
