Update On The 24th Congressional District Race
Every state lawmaker in the 24th Congressional District have endorsed Congresswoman Claudia Tenney in her race for re-election in the House. "I served with Claudia in Albany and now work with her as a partner in government as our Congresswoman. I am grateful for the work she does on behalf of Upstate New Yorkers, and endorse her campaign so she can continue delivering conservative wins for us,” said Senator Tom O’Mara. "I have known and worked closely with Claudia Tenney since we were elected to the NYS Assembly in 2010. Claudia has worked tirelessly to support New York families, seniors, farmers, small businesses and manufacturers by fighting to cut taxes and burdensome and costly regulations. In addition, Claudia has always made public safety an important and top priority through her efforts to fully support and fund local law enforcement and common sense criminal justice policies. Claudia is a true public servant and you can count on her to fight for you and to deliver conservative wins for her district. I wholeheartedly endorse my friend and partner in government, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney," said Assemblyman Phil Palmesano.
Tenney’s GOP opponent, Mario Fratto, was in Ontario County last night. "It was standing room only in Canandaigua last night," Fratto said on Facebook this morning. "Thank you for coming out everyone! We are going to win Ontario County even bigger this time around," Fratto stated on FB. Tenney and Fratto are running against each other in the June 25th primary in several towns in this part of Steuben County: that’s Avoca, Cohocton, Dansville, Prattsburgh, Pulteney, Wayland and Wheeler. When January 2025 arrives, those towns will be a part of the new 24th Congressional District.
