Police: Lots Of Meth Found Inside Dansville Car In Bath

Bath Village Police report finding a lot of Meth inside a car with three people from Dansville in it.  That was after a routine pullover for a minor traffic infraction.  David Burgess and Mary Cone, both of Dansville, were charged with 5^th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Courtney Brooker of Dansville was charged with 7^th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

 

Republican Primary Is Coming Up On June 25 In Steuben

Steuben County GOP Election Commissioner Vicky Olin says, there’s a  Primary coming up on Tuesday June 25.  There are four primaries: one for a Congressional race, one for Bath Town Clerk, one for Wheeler Town Board and one for Wheeler Highway Superintendent. 

The congressional primary is between GOP Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and Republican Mario Fratto.  The congressional primary is in Avoca, Cohocton, Dansville, Prattsburgh, Pulteney, Wayland and Wheeler. 

The Bath Town Clerk GOP Primary is between Terra Thorpe and Tara Muller. 

The Wheeler Town Board Primary is between Heather Trenchard & Jonathan Coe. 

The Wheeler Highway Superintendent’s primary is between Douglas Towner & Richard Decker. 

Polls are open from 6am until 9pm on June 25, in the towns having a primary.  Early Voting June 15 – June 23 and early voting will be only held at the Steuben County Annex Building in Bath. 

 

A Get Together In Hammondsport Has Been Called Off

The Hammondsport PTO & Class of 2025 will not be able to host the Glenn Curtiss Elementary Family Fun Night originally scheduled for tonight.  That’s according to Hammondsport school officials.

Are you all set to vote in November?  The Steuben County board of elections says that all Registered voters should have received a blue card in the mail from the Steuben County Board of Election recently.  If you are registered to vote but did not receive a blue card in the mail, the Board of Elections suggests that you call their office so they can get things straightened out.
