Alllard: Ebiking Is All Over - Here In Steuben County 

"We're seeing an increase in Ebikes," Sheriff Allard said this morning.  "Especially at night, when they need to have their bike lights on and don't.  It poses a major safety concern,  The other problem is, the Ebikers are often going very fast, and they need to follow the vehicle and traffic laws, they shouldn't ever be on a sidewalk," Allard said.  

 

There Was A Bad Accident In Horseheads - Two Kids Injured And Were Taken By Helicopter To Strong Memorial

State Police report that there was a three vehicle accident Saturday in Horseheads.  Troopers say that an 11 year old and a 13 year old are in stable condition at Strong Memorial Hospital, after being airlifted there. 

 

Langworthy Votes Yes On Israel Aid, No On Ukraine Aid

Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy was a yes vote on aid to Israel and a no vote on aid to Ukraine.  Langworthy says he supports aid to Israel because Israel is one of our greatest allies.  He says he opposed aid to Ukraine because it included $7.85 billion dollars for government pensions and, “other Ukraine government employee needs.”

 

Gillibrand: Statement On Columbia University 

“I am appalled at the virulent antisemitism being displayed on Columbia University’s campus. Threats of violence against Jewish students and the Jewish community are horrible, despicable and wholly unacceptable. Using the rhetoric of terrorists has no place in New York, where we pride ourselves on tolerance and the right of every group to practice their religion in peace.”

 

Gov Hochul: What Else Is In The Budget This Year

Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul says, in her budget, is: increased criminal penalties for Assaulting Retail Workers, a longer Hate Crimes list, invests $40 Million To Support Survivors of Domestic Violence, and $7.1 Million to Reduce Repeat offender crimes and Improve Supervision of Parolees.  GOP State senate leader Senator Robert Orrt says, it’s an out of touch budget and a clear sign that socialists have taken over the state legislature.
