Fire In Bth< Near Mitchellsville Monday Night 
There was a mobile home fire last night.  It happened in Bath, near Mitchellsville on County Route 13.  Officials say the mobile home was completely involved, when the Bath Volunteer Fire Department arrived.   Wvin is also told that a vehicle also caught on fire and a propane tank vented from the heat, but did not explode.  There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Steuben county fire investigation team.  Multiple fire departments were on standby during last night’s fire.

 

Corning Police Make Arrests In Alleged Meth Case

Corning Police did a no-knock warrant on Saturday.  They report  finding a lot of meth inside an apartment on Bridge Street in Corning, and charged a 33 year old male and a 32 year old woman, with 2nd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Corning Police say that the two were held, because they had prior convictions.  

 

Some Bills Signed Into Law, Some Not

Governor Kathy Hochul signed a law so that elections are held on even years.  Republicans are against this move, saying it will give an unfair advantage to Democrats to win elections.  The governor also signed a law, so that government officials will be able to see who runs LLC’s, that’s limited liability corporations.  The governor also came out against the ban on non competes.  The governor vetoed the ban on non compete agreements. 

 

Langworthy, Tenney,  etc,  Ask Hochul Not To Ban Natural Gas

Congressman Nick Langworthy and Congresswoman Claudia  Tenney sent off a letter to the governor, asking Hochul not to go along with the climate action council’s plans to get  rid of natural gas in New York S tate.
