Over 3400 Wreaths Placed, At Bath National Cemetary

Republican State Senator Tom O’Mara says, over 3400 wreaths were put on gravestones at the Bath National Cemetery on Saturday.  The senator noted that Troop E State Police Officers attended the wreath laying ceremony in Bath, on Saturday afternoon.

Bath Village Officials To Hold Public Hearing At 5:30pm Today

The Bath village monthly meeting is going to be this evening at 5:30 and this meeting is being held at the Bath Electric Gas and Water offices.  On the agenda.  A public hearing about a where a legal marijuana store would be located in Bath, if these storse are approved for Bath.  

 

Steuben County Will Get Rain, But Not As Much As Chemung, Tompkins, Onondaga, Etc. Will Get  

Over the weekend, the National Weather Service announced that Steuben County was part of a Flood Watch that goes until tomorrow.  However, Meteorologist Rob Carolan says, the worst of the rain will be east of Steuben County.  "The heavy rain is off to our east," Carolan said this morning.  "It looks like it's going to hit Elmira, Ithaca and Syracuse hard, and in the Catskills and Adirondacks.  Steuben County will get hit with scattered showers on the backside of the system, but the really heavy rain will be to our east," Carolan said. 

 

Steuben County Lawmakers Are Getting Closer To Passing The Comprehensive Plan , Which Should Pass In 2024

This morning, the Steuben County Legislature, is expected to vote to take another step towards approving the county’s new comprehensive plan.  Specifically, county legislators are expected to approve the county’s lead agency status in the environmental review of the county’s Comprehensive Plan.  Officials say it’s expected that the comprehensive plan will be adopted next year.
