Bath Volunteer Fire Department Holds Elections

From The Bath Fire Dept: 

The Bath Volunteer Fire Department held their election of officers for the coming year of 2024 which will take office on January 1.  We would like to thank Matt Glashauser who stepped down from his position as Chief for several years for his leadership, knowledge and friendship.

A New Internship Program In Which SUNY Students Are Hired As Paid Interns By State Offices/Agencies 

Governor Kathy Hochul says the SUNY College system is going to be offering paid internships, to have SUNY students, go to work for the D.E.C., the Office of Parks and Recreation, NYSERDA and other offices and agencies.  The governor says in year one of the internship program, 40 SUNY students will be selected.
 

Number Of Cases Steuben Co Handled In November 2023 

Sheriff Jim Allard says, in November, investigators and deputies handled eight death investigations, two assault cases, one unlawful imprisonment investigation, a burglary investigation, a missing person case, one endangering the welfare of a child investigation, one fire investigation, seven larceny investigations, three grand larceny investigations, six harassment investigations, two reckless endangerment investigations, seven criminal mischief investigations, two impersonation investigations, one terroristic threat investigation, two animal cruelty investigations, eight narcotics investigations, three leaving the scene of a crash investigations and one fugitive from justice investigation.
