Elmira Woman Charged For Alleged Car Theft In Avoca

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that deputies arrested 45 year old Sunni Clark of South Main Street, Elmira, with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the Third Degree.  It is alleged that in January, Sunni Clark stole a vehicle in Avoca and damaged it in Lindley.  Clark was remanded to the county jail without bail.

 

Langworthy Praises  The Bath VA During House Speech

Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy is voting for House Resolution 4366, The Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act.  Which, in the VA part of it, provides appropriations for VA hospitals.  Regarding this topic on the house floor yesterday Langworthy talked about the Bath VA.   "I recently had the privilege of visiting the Bath NY VA Hospital in my district, in Steuben County, where I witnessed firsthand, the incredible work done by the Bath VA staff," Langworthy stated.  "These facilities are responsible for serving thousands of veterans, and they deserve our unwavering support."   

 

Five County Employees Honored By County Lawmakers 

Five Steuben County employees were recognized by the county Legislature Hilary Graham for her 10 years of service.  Brenden Smalt for his 15 years of service.  Department Social Services Commissioner Teresa Stever, who is retiring after 32 years.  Kim Gotshall, who is retiring after 30 years service.  Also, Becky Shoemaker was honored, for her 25 years of service.
