Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Steuben County in central New York...

* Until 830 PM EDT.

* At 527 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
  rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1
  hour. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Addison, Woodhull, Jasper, Thurston, Cameron, Cameron Mills and
  Risingville.

Residents along Tuscarora Creek should be on high alert for the
potential of rapid flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
