Two Bad Fires Yesteday, One In Kanona, One In Bath

Fire officials from Bath, report two fires in the area yesterday, a grass fire in Kanona, which numerous fire departments responded to, and a fire in Bath.  The fire in Bath, was a structure fire, of a double wide mobile home on Emerson Road.  There were no injuries reported, and numerous fire departments were at yesterday’s structure fire in Bath. 

Former Bath Fire Chief Jim Orme, Has Passed Away

It is with deep sadness we share the news of the passing of past Chief Jim Orm. Jim had over 50 years in The Bath Volunteer Fire Department and was the Chief for many years. It was his ambition to make our Technical Rescue Team the best in the area and instituted the Steuben Regional Technical Rescue Task Force.  Jim's expertise, leadership and most of all friendship will be dearly missed by us all who knew him. We send our thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends.

Addison Man Facing Numerous Charges After Alleged DWI

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that a 26 year old Addison man was found slumped over in a vehicle in a parking lot in Addison.  The sheriff says, the 26 year old suspect was a drunk driver that did not have the interlock device inside his vehicle, and had an open container inside his vehicle.  The 26 year old Addison man is also alleged to have resisted arrest.  He was ticketed and released.
