Serious DWI Charges Against A Bath Man
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on October 9, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested John Wright, age 42, of State Route 415, Bath, New York. The sheriff says the arrest came, following an investigation of a one vehicle crash, reported vehicle into a utility pole, on Mitchellsville Hill Road, Urbana, New York. "It is alleged that Wright operated a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition, left the roadway, crashed into a utility pole causing injury to a passenger, then fled the scene to be later apprehended by the Hammondsport Village Police," said Sheriff Allard. Wright was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Leaving the Scene of a Crash.
