Public Health Says - You've Got To Admit Its Getting Better

Laurelei Wagner, from the Steuben County Public Health Department, says the number of cases from yesterday's announcement - that's 201 new cases in the past week, shows that covid is going down slightly, in the county.  

 

Election Update For November 8th - And Before

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th.  Early voting starts on Saturday October 29th.  That’s according to Steuben County Election Commissioner Vicky Olin, who also says, in to see the Steuben County Board of Elections website, go to:  Steuben County dot gov, and click Board of Elections.

 

Another Real Property Online Auction - Starts Tomorrow

Steuben County spokesperson Mary Perham says, another online real property auction is coming up this Wednesday October 5th, and that online auction will last until Wednesday of next week, October 12th.  

 

Sheriff's Monthly Report Of Accidents, Arrests, Etc

Sheriff Jim Allard has put out the September report, there were 1,656 calls that came in.  There were seven DWI’s, 30 vehicle crashes, 19 property damage accidents, 16 Emergency Medical calls, and 11 person injury accidents.  The sheriff also says, Deputy Brent Nadjadi was honored with a “Quilt of Valor” which used to belong to the late Victor Campbell, a World War II veteran.  Nadjadi, a veteran, says he was both grateful and humbled.
