More Police Presence

State Police say that troopers will conduct daily check-ins at New York State's schools from now until the end of the year following the mass shooting at a Texas elementary school.  

 

Nurses Union Speaks Out Against Violence In Buffalo

The New York State Nurses union put out a statement regarding the recent shootings in Buffalo and down in Texas.  The nurses union is calling on the governor to implement strategies to fight against violence.  

 

Shocker: Two Youths Charged Over In Canisteo

Over in Canisteo, village police charged an 11 year old with 3rd degree assault.  Also there,  police also charged a 15 year old for punching a cop while the kid was being ticketed for damaging property in Canisteo.  The 15 year old is accused of resisting arrest and other charges.

 

Key Republican Endorsement for Congressman Jacobs 

Erie County Republican Congressman Chris Jacobs, whose running against Tioga County Democrat Max Della Pia, Jacobs has been endorsed by Republican Assemblyman Joe Giglio (Jill-ee-oh). 

 

Special Election Date Questions Remain

When will the special election be for the remainder of the Tom Reed term in the house?  Reed stepped down several weeks ago.
