The joint effort of the Steuben County Sheriff and Steuben Prevention Coalition Opioid Committee to collect unused and unneeded medication brought in 606.4 pounds during Drug Take Back Day held Saturday at the county Public Safety Building in Bath. Steuben County Covid Update, May 2, 2022

From County Public Health Director Darlene Smith:

COVID cases are continuing to trend upward with 520 new COVID cases reported since last Monday's update. Sadly, another resident has passed: a 74 year old Town of Erwin man.

In line with NYSDOH, we are asking hospitals to let us know if COVID positive patients are admitted due to COVID or with COVID. Some patients are admitted for COVID reasons or because of COVID complications (due to COVID), while others may be admitted for non-COVID reasons, but have tested positive for COVID (with COVID). You can see this added element on the hospitalized line of the graphic.
