Naples Says No To Any More EV School Buses
Naples Central School Superintendent Kevin Swartz issued a statement about how his school’s experience with the two electric school buses they have at Naples. Swartz says electric school buses have numerous limitations. And because of this, transitioning to having all electric buses would be both impractical and impossible. Swartz says he bases this opinion on dealing with the electric buses they already have. He says, for example, Naples cannot use electric buses on cold days because of issues heating the bus. Also, Naples notes that they found that when they have to drive long distances, they cannot use electric school buses. That is because the school says that the buses cannot get that far. In conclusion, Naples Central’s Superintendent said their school is not going to buy any more electric buses.
