An Anti Trump Rally Was Held Saturday In Bath
There were No Kings events in Bath Horseheads and Wellsville over the weekend. Dozens of protesters stood on the street near Pulteney Park in Bath on Saturday, holding signs up that said things like “Tax the Rich” and “No kings” and “Hey Canada We Hate Him Too”. They were also chanting “No King, No Crown, We the People Won’t Back Down." The No Kings event for Bath, had originally been scheduled to take place inside the park, but Mayor Michael Sweet put out a statement on social media, saying that the event organizers had not gotten permission from the village board.
Village of Bath to Hold Open Call About NY Forward
The Village of Bath was recently awarded $4.5 million in funding through the NY Forward Program and is currently seeking transformative local projects for potential inclusion in its NY Forward Strategic Investment Plan. This Open Call application will serve as an initial expression of interest in the program. Following your submission, the NY Forward Consultant Team will reach out to ensure all information is complete and provide assistance as needed.
The Open Call application period will be from June 16 – July 18, 2025. Open Call forms are available at Bath Village Hall and at BathNYF.com. Projects of all sizes are welcome! Potential sponsors of projects with an estimated total value greater than $75,000 should complete the NYF Project Form. Potential sponsors of projects with an estimated total value less than $75,000 should complete the Small Project Fund Interest Form.
To assist project applicants with this process, we will be hosting a virtual office hours meeting to provide guidance and answer any questions on July 10, 2025, from 5-7pm. Please see BathNYF.com for information on how to join this session.

Big Thanks To Local Rotarians
Recently, three members of the Bath Rotary Club volunteered to sort clean, donated clothing at Stacy’s Closet in the lower level of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Bath as part of United Way’s Day of Care. Bath Rotarians who participated in this project were Leigh Ann Rumsey, Bill White, and Mike Slovak.

Democrats Senator Schumer and Governor Hochul, New York State Democratic Chair Jay Jacobs, Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy, GOP Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and others, all put out statements, condemning the political shootings out in Minnesota.
