Town Of Wheeler To Hold A Public Informational Meeting
The Wheeler Town Board will be holding a Public Information Meeting at the Wheeler Community Building on Fritz Hill Road on Monday July 1, at 6pm.  This is to get public comment on elected Highway Superintendents versus an Appointed Highway Superintendents.

 

ONTARIO CO TROOPERS LOOKING FOR A SUSPECT 

FROM NYSP:

On June 4, 2024, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the below individual attempted to cash a fraudulent $3500.00 check using a stolen New York State Drivers License at the Reliant Federal Credit Union in the town of Farmington, New York. A bank employee identified the check as fraudulent and recognized the license as stolen, which caused the individual to flee the establishment. The individual was captured on a nearby camera fleeing and entering the below vehicle.

Five Hornell Police Officers Given Commendations  

Over in Hornell, five police officers were given medals for saving a woman’s life in March.  Hornell Police Chief Ted Murray says the five officers subdued a suspect with a knife who had stabbed a woman, and got the stabbing victim to the hospital.   

 

Langworthy Gives Tour Of US Capitol, To Avoca Residents

Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy says, a big thanks, to the constituents from Avoca, who showed up at his office in  Washington DC on Wednesday morning.  Langworthy says, the Avoca residents were there for a tour. 

 

Bike Ride To Raise Money For The United Way

Tour De Keuka.  The bicycle ride around Keuka Lake.  It’s happening Saturday August  3rd   and there are three rides: 45 miles, 60 miles or 100 miles.  The Tour De Keuka is being done to raise funds for the United Way.    Click here to sign up for the Tour De Keuka. 

 

Avoca's Summer Ag Fest 2024

The Avoca Summer Committee is having a Summer Ag Fest event.  That’ll be Sunday, August 25 from 12pm-3pm.  There will be a car/truck/motorcycle show, activities for kids, a chicken barbeque and bake sales.
