Accident In Bath, One Person Sent To The Hospital

There was a car accident yesterday in Bath.  That was on Steuben Street.  Officials say there were injuries and one person was transported by helicopter to Robert Packard Hospital, in Sayre, Pennsylvania.  

 

The Steuben County Legislature Is Taking Big Steps To Get More Volunteer Emergency Medical Techs, Firefighters

Steuben County Legislators have approved a plan to encourage volunteerism in emergency medical services in the county by paying stipends to offset the high cost of training.   The plan calls for anyone now a member of a volunteer emergency medical services agency to receive $1,800 after completing Emergency Medical Technician Certification.  Volunteers will receive a stipend of $400 for completing their EMT re-certification and remaining a member of a volunteer emergency services provider.  Also any volunteer wishing to receive the stipend will be required to file a request for the stipend signed by the Chief of the volunteer management agency and submit an IRS form W-9.
