Tractor Trailer Driver Facing Numerous Charges 

From NYSP:  On October 20, 2023, troopers from SP Painted Post located an 18-wheel tractor-trailer on I-86 westbound that had been involved in an accident in Chemung County and had fled the scene. A 33 year old Canadian man, was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and traffic infractions.  He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Campbell Town Court in late November.

 

Steuben County Stop-DWI Campaign Reminder 

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard announced today that Steuben County police agencies and STOP-DWI Coordinators will participate in special efforts to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving.  The statewide STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign will start on October 27 and will end on November 1.

 

Public Works Commish Rose: CDL Training Is Great 

Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose has gotten the county to start up a CDL driver’s license training program.  Rose says the county hopes to get eight to ten people taking these CDL driver ‘s license classes a year. 

 

Mayor Compliments A Local Patriotic Business Owner

Bath Mayor Michael Sweet is praising Meyers R.V. in Bath, for having a very large American flag flying over their business.  Mayor Sweet says, thanks to the owners of Meyers R.V. for doing this.
