PACT Act Update For Local Veterans 

The PACT Act.  PACT stands for promise to address comprehensive toxins.  Democrat US Senator Gillibrand says - if you're a veteran who was deployed to a combat zone and left the military between September 11, 2001 and October 1, 2013, you can apply for dept of veterans health care benefits until September 30.  Gillibrand says thanks to the PACT Act, veterans have expanded access to health care and benefits.

 

Overdose Report For August 2023 From Steuben County

The Steuben County Public Health Department and partners are sharing updated overdose data for August: 23 overdoses were reported. One overdose was fatal, and 5 instances of Narcan administration were cited.

 

New Poll Out This Morning From Siena Institute

There is a new Siena College poll out which says 34 percent of new York state residents don’t want either President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump to run in 2024.  That same poll also shows that Biden does better than Trump in New York State.  Governor Kathy Hochul is at 40 percent.  Senator Schumer’s popularity was at 47 percent, Senator Gillibrand is at 41 percent.

 

Car Check Event This Saturday At The Fairgrounds In Bath

The Steuben County Sheriff's Office will host a car seat check event at the Strong Kids Safe Kids event on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 11am to 3pm at the Steuben County Fairgrounds in Bath, New York.
