The Annual Steuben County Senior Forum Is Coming Up 

Steuben County officials say that they’re having speakers and state officials at the annual Senior Forum on September 21st and event which is going to be hosted by the Steuben County Office For the Aging.  It'll start at 830am on September 21, at the First Presbyterian Church in Bath.   The County Office of the Aging, is also putting on a six hour A.A.R.P. smart driver program for drivers of all ages.  That’ll be 9am to 4pm on September 16th at the Hornell Senior Center, on the Broadway Mall in Hornell. 

 

Road Closing In The Town Of Lindley Next Week

Steuben County Route 5 in the Town of Lindley will be closed from 8 am to 3 pm, from Monday through Thursday of next week.  The stretch of road is located between Gibson and Stowell roads.  There will be no on-site detour.

 

Upcoming Village Meeting In Hammondsport 

The next Hammondsport Village Board Meeting is September 12th, at 6:00pm at the Hammondsport  Village Office.

 

Rep. Nick Langworthy Thanks Pennsylvania Congressman 

Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy is publicly thanking Congressman Glenn Thompson, the House GOP Agriculture Chair, for coming to Langworthy’s recent forum with farmers in Chautauqua County.  Democrat Senator Schumer says he’s going to take up the farm bill next week. 

 

Senator Chuck Schumer: We Must Stand By Ukraine 

On the topic of the war, Schumer says yesterday, "The senate had a classified briefing on the state of the war in Ukraine. We we must continue to show Putin and the forces of autocracy that the US stands in solidarity with Ukraine For our democratic values, and our own national security, we cannot waver in our support for Ukraine."
