The Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker held a press conference at 200pm this afternoon.  What we’ve learned is, that four suspects are being indicted on 162 counts for alleged home and vehicle break in’s, in Steuben County, Yates County, Seneca County, Allegany County, and also in Pennsylvania.  At today’s press conference the D.A. showed a map.  From looking at the map, it appears that two of the break-in’s were in Hornell.  Other break ins were in Avoca, Prattsburgh, Putleney, Cohocton, Naples and Seneca Falls.  There are four suspects, Jon Janelli of Pulteney, Adam Hosmer of Avoca, Devin Twist of Bath and Maurice Lake of Rochester, were indicted on charges of Enterprise Corruption.  The four suspects are currently being held.     

 

O'Mara: The State's Green Energy Plans Need Work

Republican State Senator Tom O’Mara says the state’s green energy plans are not well planned and will require additional taxpayer funding.  O’Mara also says, the governor and the state’s climate action council want the state to be running on 70 percent green energy by the year 2030.  Supporters of the this say that Significant growth in jobs within green industries, with union labor as the backbone of the State’s clean energy economy, which will help create family-sustaining jobs and wage gains across the economy and in every corner of the State.  

 

Schumer: If There Is A Shutdown, It's McCarthy's Fault

The Washington Post reports that Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer this morning said that if there is a government shutdown, the blame is on GOP House Leader Kevin McCarthy.  Schumer said the first step to avoid this, is for McCarthy and the House Republican Leadership to make up their minds that they’re going to pass a bipartisan bill.  Schumer says once they do that, we can work out the details.  Republicans maintain that Democrats make government shutdowns sound worse than the shutdowns ever are.
