Bath Mayor Chides Neighboring Counties 

Bath Village Mayor Michael Sweet says that Yates County and Chemung County are sending Bath parolees that are being housed here in Bath.  "We know who (which suspects) is creating issues in the village," Sweet tells WVIN.  "We're in the process of finding out who coordinates this, it's not right, and I"m going to stick up for the people who live in this community.  They, quite honestly, are fed up with all the crime that's happening in the area as well."

Allegations Of Welfare Fraud In Bath

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that a 54 year old Bath man, is accused of committing $146 worth of welfare fraud. The suspect is charged with misuse of food stamps and petit larceny.

Steuben County officials say the Steuben County Hall of Fame is taking nominations.  Hall of Fame members, from over the years, include former State Senator Bill Smith, former Congressman Randy Kuhl, and former Assemblyman Don Davidson and former Assemblyman Jim Bacalles.
