Kidnapping Case - Out Of Bath - Ends In Washington 

Bath Police Chief Colin Taft reports a kidnapping arrest.  The chief says, 62 year old Anthony Kroeger of William Street in Bath, is accused of taking a 14 year old, and two 17 year olds, all from Bath, out of state, for two days.  The 14 year old was said to have allegedly been taken without parental consent.  According to Police Chief Taft, the three teenagers were found, with Kroeger in Washington DC.  Kroeger was arrested in Washington DC.  Kroeger will be charged with 2nd degree kidnapping.   Now Kroeger, according to Bath Police, just finished up a long sentence after being convicted of raping a 14 year old.  The three teens, were taken to child protective services and officials are going down to get the teens in Washington.  Bath Police worked about 18 hours on this case, on Thursday, to find the three teens.

 

State Police Head Resigns After Gov Hochul Investigation

Governor Kathy Hochul was reportedly having the head of the state police, investigated.  That’s according to numerous Albany and New York City media outlets.  The latest is, the state police superintendent has given the governor his resignation.  The governor says, first deputy superintendent steven nigrelli will be the interim superintendent.

 

Georgia Man, Who Has Pending Case In Wayland, Makes The National News 

There’s a homicide case out of Poughkeepsie New York, near Marist College, and a Georgia man, Roy Johnson Jr, is accused of killing a man in Poughkeepsie.  Now the national media says, Johnson was in Wayland.  Here’s what Steuben County DA Baker says the Roy Johnson Jr case is still open and pending in Wayland Town Court, the charges against Johnson are 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon, attempted assault, criminal mischief, menacing, resisting arrest, and the DA says Johnson was charged back in March of 2021, the district attorney says one problem has been the criminal justice reform laws from 2019, on discovery.
